All permit applications can be found below. They may be emailed to building@annarbortownship.gov or delivered to or mailed to the Ann Arbor Township Building Department. Remember to submit all supporting documents with the permit application.
Trade permit applications may be submitted through BS&A. Building permit applications and the accompanying documents must be submitted via email, mail or delivered to the office. It is required that HOA approvals are included with permit applications for exterior work or a letter from the property owner that the address is not in an HOA.
Contractors must be licensed by the state of Michigan and have liability insurance to do work in Ann Arbor Charter Township. Also, contractors must be registered with us before a permit application can be processed. Check the Contractor Registration Form on our website. Inspections must be called in or emailed to building@annarbortownship.gov at least 24 hours in advance. You will receive acknowledgement that the inspection is set.

The Ann Arbor Township Building Department is open Monday-Thursday 8am-12pm and 1pm-4:30pm and located inside the Ann Arbor Township Hall at 3792 Pontiac Trail, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48105.
